explain的用法

explain用作动词，既可用作及物动词,也可用作不及物动词。表示说明，解释；指把对方不知道、不理解的事以易懂的方式加以说明。

Explain使用方法

explain在动词中的用法后面一般跟explain sth to sb或后接反身代词作宾语。

1、表示“解释”，通常不接双宾语，若语义上需要这类结构，可以改成explain结构使用。若其中的 sth 较长或较复杂(比如是不定式或从句)，也可以用explain to sb sth。

2、有时后接反身代词作宾语，有两个意思。例如：Could you explain yourself a bit more? 你能把意思说得更清楚点吗？表示吧自己的意思表达清楚。Late again, Smith? I hope you can explain yourself! 又迟到了，史密斯？我希望你能说明一下原因！表示对自己的行为进行解释。

explain既可用作及物动词，也可用作不及物动词。用作及物动词时，宾语可以是名词、代词，也可以是带疑问词的动词不定式或that从句，还可以是反身代词，说明自己的意思、动机或行为。例如：I will try to explain the situation as I see it.我将试着根据我自己的看法讲一讲形势。用作不及物动词时，例如You needn't explain any more.你不必再解释了。
